MK Surveys New Southern Office
MK Surveys are pleased to announce that we have successfully completed a move to a new office in Sayers Common. The Horsham office will now be re-named our Southern Office.
Having opened the Horsham Office back in January 2012, starting in a small room in Cowfold, we relocated to Horsham in April 2014, with one room on the first floor of Hillreed House. With the increase in staff numbers and work load, we were in a position to occupy a second room within Hillreed House a couple of years later.
Now that we have established ourselves in the southern part of the country, with a loyal client base, and with the hard work and drive of all the staff members working from there, the decision was made to move to larger premises, giving us the space to further grow the office and our presence in the area.
We would like to thank everyone that has played their part in the success of this office so far, and we look forward to a bright future for our Southern Office.

MK Surveys are immensely proud to be celebrating our 50th year in business
It was great to get the whole company together, including our founders Peter and Geraldine Bennett together with recently retired David Rust.
Many thanks to our long-standing clients, and also to our staff for their continued dedication and hard work.

Silverstone Circuit Resurface 2019
We have carried out surveys at the world famous circuit for over 25 years, and since our purchase of a Leica Geosystems Pegasus2 we have mobile mapped the circuit many times for resurfacing works and 3D virtualisation.
For the 2019 resurfacing that was carried out by Tarmac and Dromo the Italian track designers, we carried out mobile mapping and static scanning at all stages before during and after the project. We worked to very tight timescales and to demanding tolerances set by Dromo, which we achieved by using cutting edge LIDAR technology and by pre-installing a huge amount of highly accurate dimensional control.
Following each track scan the data was given to Dromo to compare with their design model and all corrections fed into the Topcon machine control systems to enable the smoothest surface at each stage of the asphalt laying process. We had one very memorable lap a couple of hours after F1 qualifying on the Saturday, much of the crowd had gone but there was still a great atmosphere as we drove round albeit somewhat slower than the F1 lap record!
It was a pleasure to collaborate with the design and construction team together with Silverstone Circuit themselves.

MK Surveys' Utility Survey Manager is attending the 1st International Conference on GPR: Applications for Solving Engineering Problems.
The conference is at University of Wroclaw (Uniwersytet Wroclawski) on the 21st and 22nd November 2019 and aims to bring together engineers, scientists and GPR users from a wide range of disciplines to present case studies demonstrating how GPR survey results have helped the approach to resolving various engineering problems.

Constructionline Gold Accreditation
MK Surveys are pleased to announce that we are now certified to Constructionline Gold Accreditation
This level of accreditation is a growing requirement of many main contractors and we are pleased to be able to show our commitment within the industry to be assessed against the enhanced PAS 91 criteria. Along with our ISO 9001:2015 (UKAS accredited) and SSIP certifications MK Surveys are dedicated and commited to working to high standards within the construction industry.

UAV Surveys & Aerial Inspections
MK Surveys’ CAA certified pilots are able to rapidly record accurate survey data safely and professionally using various UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) platforms, producing engineering grade deliverables.
Safety whilst undertaking any survey is our top priority and all UAV surveys are only undertaken once all risks on site have been assessed and mitigated.
Survey control is established on site for all UAV surveys, by GNSS and total station. This not only increases the accuray of the captured UAV data but also allows for additional surveying mothodologies to be utilised to enhance the deliverable should it be required with all survey data captured through the life cycle of a project combined to provide one complete deliverable to the client.
All survey deliverables are processed in house by our experienced surveyors, and the aerial data captured by our advanced aerial systems can be used to produce 2D and 3D topographical surveys and DTMs (Digital Terrain Models), building elevations and roof plans, 3D building models, immersive VR environments and visualisations, BIM and much more.

MK Surveys are undertaking extensive Surveying works at Heythrop Park Resort
The survey works include full Topographical Surveys of the estate along with Measured Building Surveys of all buildings.
We are using a variety of technologies to undertake the survey works including Mobile Mapping in the form of both UAV Surveys (MK Surveys are CAA licenced) and the Leica Pegasus:Two, Static and hand held laser scanning as well as traditional total station and GNSS works.
Heythrop Park is a Grade II listed early 18th-century country house designed by the architect Thomas Archer in the Baroque style for Charles Talbot, 1st Duke of Shrewsbury.
