MK Surveys were approached to undertake the monitoring of a crack in a concrete ceiling slab at a well renowned development in the North London area. The client was interested to see how the crack was behaving when the mast climbers were in use.

Automated crack sensors were utilised to enable live monitoring of the crack, recording a reading every minute which was communicated to an onsite datacentre which in turn was uploaded to the cloud were MK Surveys were able to retrieve the data, analyse the results and notify all relevant parties through a warning system should the results be out of tolerance.

The crack readings, along with the temperature were presented in a graph for weekly reporting to the client.
